Why not join in this national campaign and make the world better with a sweater. All you have to do is sign up at www.savethechildren.org.uk/christmas-jumper-day and then everyone at your school, college, place of work, pub etc wears a Christmas sweater on Friday 13th December and pays £1. Don’t have a Christmas jumper? – Not a problem – all you have to do is customise any old sweater with some baubles and tinsel – you get the idea. Last year Christmas Jumper Day raised £350,000 – this year the target is £1,000,000 so join in the fun. And if you fancy knitting a sweater (there’s still time – just) then have a look at www.deramores.com as they are donating 50p to Save the Children for every order made in November that includes a ball of yarn from the entire Sirdar range.
Christmas Craft Shopping Experience: Save the Children will again be the partner charity at this popular event, held on Sunday 1st December at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, on the Fosse Way between Radford Semele and Ufton. Awesome Animal Encounters will be at the event with their exiting array of exotic animals, including snakes, spiders & more! Take a chance to get up close to these fascinating creatures and learn more about them. Or if you like your animals cute and cuddly, then come and meet the friendly Alpacas, whose fleece is used to make the softest & most luxurious knitwear!
